Don't forget, what goes around, comes around. Remember that if you sue. I bet that kid and his friends will now look for bikes. My kids do and let their friends know when they make stupid moves like pulling out in front of bikes. Unless you know bikers, you really don't think about it. I think people should have to ride a bike before they get their drivers license. It really does make you a more observant driver.
Sounds like the bike is totalled. My daughter's boyfriend bought a salvage bike with less damage.
We had quite a few accidents in this area this weekend. One involved the Hell's Angels. I think there were about 17 bikes going one way. The bike coming in the opposite direction brushed against one of the bikes. Sounds like they were boht hugging the yellow line. They all went down. The paper says thecops are having trouble reconstructing the accident because all the bikes were moved by the time they got there and the club is "not being cooperative". In another accident a woman had her 8 year old daughter on the back. They went off the road. Her daughter was killed. One woman, I think the one involved with the Hell's Angels, may have her hands and leg amputated.
The weather is getting nice and more bikes are on the road. Ride safe.
